Thanks to friends living in Shanghai, we had a chance to go to China in October 2009. Europeans have so many clichés in mind when it comes to China, so it was a real eye-opener to discover a blasting Shanghai which was getting prepared for the Expo.  Chinese cuisine.. that we had never experienced before. In the West Park in Hangzhou, on a boat from Guilin to Yanghuo, during the Liu San Jie Impression lightshow, the following pictures capture some precious moments. Or in Sanya on the island of Hainan, which is for many Chinese the very first place to enjoy a first holiday at the seaside.
